i was introduced to a site called ieatishootipost. in their latest post, it's featuring Cafe AG which is runned by a friend of mine. i'll like to promote for her a little.

The Cafe is run entirely by the girls under the supervision of volunteer chefs. This year, Jackie from Cilantro Modern Asian got involved and she played a pivotal role by donating some kitchen equipment and training the girls. They are also helping to provide supplies like their smoked duck breast and pizza bases.
I met Sam, the girl who is currently managing the Cafe.It was during her 18 month stay that she saw God's love for her through the lives of Ps Andrew and Grace and the volunteers at the home and she decided to accept Jesus into her life. After her discharge, Ps Andrew asked her what she would like to do with her life and she responded by saying that she would love to run a Cafe. So now she is in charge of managing the Cafe under close supervision from Jackie.

Now, the food is actually not bad, but of course there are still a lot things that can be improved upon. They have just been opened for 1 month and so they are still raising money to buy a few more things for the kitchen. I actually quite liked the Potato Croquette and ordered an extra serving for myself and the kids. Their normal cafe menu will feature some of the items from Cilantro such as the duck breast pasta and pizza. They also have a non-alcoholic bar with an expresso machine and soon they will be offering fruit smoothies as well.

The Cafe is basically a training ground for girls who are interested to work in the food and beverage industry. There is no rental and wage cost, so the money raised is used to pay for the food costs and to buy kitchen equipment. In keeping with the Christian practise of tithing, they also contribute a portion of the money to other charities and the rest is used for the running of the home.

So, if you have no plans yet for New Year's Eve, why not consider a Set Dinner at Ag Cafe? Jackie just confirmed that she will personally be there to make sure you get a good meal. The Cafe is opened to invited guests only (Readers of this blog are considered invited guests) and it is best to give them a call to let them know you are coming. If you can't make it for New Year's Eve, you can still drop in at other times for their normal Cafe menu.

PS: They also rear prize winning Goldfish and Koi in the premises which you can buy when you are there.

was busy preparing steamboat for christmas dinner. went to wet early in the morning to get prawns, fish and lots more. they were all laughing at me and trying to bet that i won't be able to wake up to wet market. and i PROOFED them wrong! neh! haha...

ok, let me recall a little.

took MC on Fri. Went to Darling house around noon to give him a surprise. This dua baby was sick. Made some tuna sandwiches for him. In the evening we went to Tampines Inter to shop. Bought a lovely pair of colorful heels and I LOVE IT. Damn nice can!

Alright, on Sat afternoon i went home to change and got myself prepared for our G.N.O and for your info, as per instruction from Mrs. Teo, were something special, costume or anything. if not, dress all black with design and to reach Monica's house @ 6 o'clock SHARP! As usual, stupid me trying to co-operate with her, i dress all black with my new heels and a very funny necklace that my lady boss bought for me in Thailand. i looked like some candy or only God knows what it is. With the bling bling eyelash that i can NEVER get myself to were it out of my house. When i was there, EVERYONE did not follow instruction and dressed as normal! HENG i didn't were costume!!! if not, i will kill that ZM!

i was late. i reach around 7 because i was waiting for daddy to come home and drive me there. guess what? Innocent me actually texted few of them to tell them i will be late and nobody replied. Mrs. Teo is later than me lo!!!

weekend was great!

Went drinking with my colleagues for Kel's farewell. Yes! AW & I succeeded! We made DV drunk! He was DEAD drunk! hahahaha!!! yes, that teach him a lesson not to brag about something you can't. Too bad when he bragged in Mauritius i was asleep in my room. ROFL! shall load some of the pics when JB send it to me.

meanwhile, visited Yati on sat for hari raya. Her mother-in-laws cooking skills is GREAT! love her mee-soto. than met Darling @ Kallang. Had food in the Jap restuarant that made us bloated. didn't take pics la. than went to fix his PSP. i bought a lamp! a lamp which zheng HATED when i was fooling around with it when we first saw it at cine. shall take pictures of it later on. In the evening we went to Causeway Point. Did a little window shopping and bought 'money not enough 2' DVD and 2 more hairbands to cover my 'defected' fringe.

See! i told you there is defect on my fringe.

After CP, we went home to watch 'Money not enough 2', thou we watched it before but it is too funny to resist la.

On Sunday, as usual i will laze around at Darling's house. We went to Mrs. Goh's house in the afternoon to collect my 'killer' heels and disturb Yuan Yuan for a while. she is soooo damn cute! after that, went home for dinner than back to Darling's house.

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

Well, i gave a miss for our friday meeting up session the so called Hen's night with guys. i was too tired to go. Recently there had been too many things happening during work. STRESSED. COMPLETELY WORN OUT.

anyway, i don't think its some kind of hen's night for friday so i think its ok to give it a miss. to me, last night is suppose to be the night whereby you accompany your girlfriend on her very last night because she is gonna get married the very next day and you are accompanying her through this very excitied moment and bla bla bla. That is why i stayed over on Sat. and YES, to my surprise, i am the ONLY one staying over. and those who accompany her on Fri says that i am some Aero Queen, when only god knows what it mean.(i supposed she wanted to say aeroplane instead)

Reason 1-
Mauritius trip got some issues, and chris is very sick so she seems to be very pek cek. Thou this is none of my problem but boss not happy, I stress.

Reason 2-
At first nobody tell me they need operation manual until going to renovate when everything pack up they tell me need this need that. But everything inside the boxes so I tell them to wait. Than when I have time to do it, the QS used up all the files I cannot open. Than when the file arrive nobody tell me. by the time I know there are files available, I am busy with closing of may and june acc. By then, I forget about my OM. SHIT! I am so going to die again.

Reason 3-
My stomach feel like it is going to explode anytime! But I like last min got so many things to rush in a goal. Imagine in 5 mins I am given the task as below.

- LSK PO

- AME PO

- Call the glass fridge vendor and still my use my very hard to sms phone to sms him the details

- Use my very hard to sms phone to sms him when serene arrives.

- Call air Mauritius to confirm is she booked tickets for chee mun.

Still got a few more I can’t remember. i am really gonna faint in any min.

And now when I am really busy typing to you, when I act really busy so that tt INA man will not disturb me, he still disturb me ask me all the nonsense qs asking me why so many ppl change this and tt. Frankly, i have been lectured by my boss for the past few days, regardless if it was my fault! DAMN, am i mad! but i don't blame him(a little only). he is the type of person who like to give ppl a little push, so that they can improve further. my accountant gd pal thinks that he wanted to pressure me so that i can be firm when i lecture my recept. but HEY! i don't have the heart to do so unless i'm really mad.
Noel called just in time when i was(LOL) crying. But i argued that it was just tears but not crying(i can't believe myself)! i was too stressed up. told himi about my pantry budget for office and this little nice chap is actually sweet enough to call up his friend for me. thou, he wasn't much of a help coz his friend only sell mineral water.
